Prince Riddle

JJ, my little brother. Ahh, I love that kid. Anyway, today I took him to see Prince of Persia, a movie he had been dying to see. Well, there's quite a story involved, so...here it is. :)
A couple months back, I took my little sister to the movies. Just me an' her. Naturally, JJ wanted "movie time" too. Fast forward to NOW. I concoct this plan to take him to see Prince of Persia, so I ask my parents. They say "yes" and I decide NOT to tell JJ.

Everybody in the house knows the plan, but JJ.

TODAY: JJ and I are up, lazing around. I get dressed and get ready to head out to return my Library books. The Library, cooly enough, is just across from the movie theater. I make JJ come with me (he wasn't surprised. I often make him come on random trips with me) and ask if he wants to go anywhere afterward. i.e Target, Title wave, Over the Rainbow... He says no and I drive into the Movie theater parking lot.
"Yippee!! Yipeee! Yippee!" he starts shouting. I park and give him a look.
"Yippee! Yipppee!..."
"Dude, what's wrong with you?" I ask. (I am a very loving sister :P)"I'm just stopping in here to see if I can get some tickets in advance. Me and MASK want to watch a movie on Sunday."
He stops. I nearly broke then and there.
"What movie are you going to see?"
"Robin Hood."
"oh. Why do you want to see that?" he asks in disgust.
"'Cause we want too."
I take him in, stating "he cannot stay in the car by himself" and he walks in. I can tell he's disappointed. I order two tickets to see Prince of Persia and give one ticket to him.
He just stares at it.
"What's this for?"
"Here, we might want to sit down. It's going to be..." I look at my watch. "About 50 minutes before the movie starts."
"Are you meeting your peeps here?"
"No. I'm watching a movie with YOU." I'm smiling now. Kind of hysterically.
"Robin Hood?" he asks, his shoulder's slumping. haha. He really doesn't want to see that movie.
"No. Read what's on your ticket."
"'Prince of Persia' - you're going to see this with your friends!" he accuses. "Look, there's four tickets!" he says, pointing at the tear lines where the dude rips it. I roll my eyes.
He made excuses and stuff for the next 10 minutes while I'm dragging him through the food line, getting popcorn and a soda. He canNOT believe that I'm going with HIM. It's kinda sad, actually.
As we sit in the totally deserted movie theater, waiting for it to start, he says: "I won't believe you until the movie starts."
THEN he believes me. :)

Now, what I found funny was the audience. Surprisingly, there were only about 20 people there! Maybe even less!
3 kids. THREE. (not including me)
The rest of the audience was made up of:
Single, older men. (1 pair came together, the rest were totally by themselves.)
Age range: 34-40
Old Couples. Like, old. There were three pairs. Age range: 70-80
And the rest?
Teenage guys. Age range? 18-19. There were about 10 of them.
I was the only girl who wasn't married (and old), or under 5 years old.
Interesting. ...

Anyway, the movie was AWESOME. At first, I had negative thoughts, but it definitely got better as it progressed. It was a LOT like the video game. It was awesome.
Anyway, I won't spoil too much. JJ liked it a lot, so did I. MASK is planning on seeing it....soon. :)

Annndd yeah. There's waay more scheming and fabricating and stuff, but it's too long and complicated to type here. Anyway, he enjoyed it. :)

  5. Haha, I'm pretty sure she meant the idea... I don't think Rachel would enjoy being called Prince Riddle...and I certainly wouldn't want her being called that.
