FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Weeeelll...the first day truly wasn't bad. It was good, actually, in the grand scheme of things. I got there SUPER early so I could unload some stuff into my locker, talk to my counselor and meet Emily at her locker. We went to talk to Mr. Ball, a multi-language teacher about taking our AP Spanish test. He said we were schedualed for after shcool, come with our work.
The whole day I was freaking out about this, SO nervous. But since I was signed up for that class I went to it second hour and he said that his Spanish 4 class had 38 people in it and he might move some of them to AP, so that made me way less nervous.
I am in the big band this year and I got really nervous about that. I suddenly realized I hadn't even thought about band or touched my oboe...in my long list of goals band has been at the bottom for a while. Working on how to fix that...
Chemistry sounds hard but I'll live. Algebra II is math so...it basically makes me die inside every day. And then AP Language seemed great at first, good teacher, tons of nice smart kids that I knew and then suddenly! out of nowhere, she throws like four homework assignments at us due the next day. ICK!
After school I met with Emily and we headed to Mr. Reese's room instead of Mr. Ball's because we were stalling from taking the test. We talked to Mr. Reese, told him about summer and listened to his stories, then went to Mr. Ball's room and found we don't have to take the test anymore!! Huge relief but wasted day of nervousness.
We did sprints in swimming even though I was a half an hour late and managed to get a 1:05 on my 100 yard freestyle, not bad for my first time back.
Then I came home (in the beautiful sunlight, might I add) and am doing homework. The sun is so rude sometimes. Ugh. Sooo...I am optimistic for this year, pretty much. Hard classes but good people and I am ready for action!
