Profess

Today was my profession of faith. If you don't know what profession of faith is, it's basically standing up in front of the congregation and answering questions. It's kinda like a baptism for people who have been baptised when their infants. Well, today I had mine. I can't exactly remember what happened. I remember having sweaty hands all throughout the service and how the sermon was so appropriate for what I was about to do. I remember feeling my heart excellerate when I heard my name and blindly going up front. Pastor Dave asked me to tell the congregation how I had come to the point where I was. I started with this phrase, "I remember hearing a service on the Sunday before my 15th birthday..." I flubbed. I just felt so shaky and I could help but cry because of this great thing I was about to share with the church. "DVB was preaching a sermon on the Last Supper and a passage just popped out to me. It was Mark 14:12." I forgot the verse and asked for a Bible. I read it. I cried. Then I explained what it ment to me and that three words made me realize what I had to do. I must be uncustomary. (After the service, Pastor Dave made some pun on uncustoMARY) So that is my mission. I what to be uncustomary. So yeah, basically this day has been really busy and emotional for me, seeing as I was nervous for the profession of faith, overwhelmed with joy during it, extremely nervous for a duet recital afterwards, and totally exausted after practicing a song for choir. I'm going to go eat and take a nap. See ya!

Dwight is my Hero

Yeah, last night was epicly awesome. I was standing in the kitchen, and I saw the tip of a banana out of the corner of my eye. Before A even said "pshew!" I knew what was happening. I grabbed my own banana, ducked and rolled and never stopped laughing. I was shot like eighty million times and only died once which was wierd.
The magic carpet ride was awesome too. But you got one thing wrong A, they weren't orange grenades, they were apples. That was M's idea :)

Dwight from the Office is pretty much my favorite person in the world except my friends. :) I love him so much!

After A left me, M, and S curlced up on the couch and went to sleep. We are party animals! And then M's mom came and me and S pretty much just went to bed. Haha, the fun part was the evening.

Open...clothes! HAHAHAH!

I'm leaving for Russia on Tuesday night, if you are reading this please pray for me, unless you're not religious, then just hope that I don't die. I'm really excited! Thanks for the awesome time last night my friends!

One fun night

Ok!!! Nice, well, last night we all hiked over to S's house for a couple of hours. (not literally hiked)
Here's what ensued:
Me and K flew (scooted) around the kitchen singing "A Whole New World" on their kitchen rug.
And epic war played out with banana guns and orange grenades. Dining room and living room furniture served as barricades.
We all died.
We sat around and made funny noises...mostly it was me. ;)
Open...clothes!
Uhhh...yeah.
Oh, we ate yummy cake that M's mom made and had sparkling cider. hehe, bubbles.

Aannnnndd yeah. That's all I recall. :) It was pretty much the funnest time I've had in a long time. I think I got a six pack just from laughing so hard. :) Let's see...anyone else want to add/go into more detail? (MSK)
I hope (to our imaginary readers and our not so very imaginary) that you guys had a fun weekend too! Or, will have, since it's still Saturday.
Anyway,

So long! Farewell!

SLED

Oh man, MASK went sledding yesterday and it was not just ordinary sledding, no sir! This was intense sledding, like olympic sized sledding. It was AWESOME! I'll let everyone give their own accounts but I had fun, and I am really sore. It was nice day. Umm...M wiped out pretty bad on the first run, she hurt her knee. Oh! We picked up this hitch-hiker dude and he was half english half australian and when I helped him with his snow board he said "Thanks, Love" :D Hehe. I love sledding!!

Ice, science, and somekinda music

Muahahahaha!!!! So last night during the men’s figure-skating short program one of the American skaters used a Beatles song for their performance. Then tonight, as I sit here watching the Winter 2010 Olympics I hear Phantom Of the Opera. A Medley of most of the songs... the Canadian male figure-skating Olympian had chosen ALW!! I was very happy about that. I realized I haven't seen that movie in a long while, so I have decided I will watch it soon..

Anyways, in other news... I had a very interesting conversation with my science teacher this morning. I had gotten a very good grade on our (now) practice test but before he said I had gotten it he said that quote "I don't know if this person will be a Engineer, a doctor or a scientist"
I had never thought of that before. Though in class, thinking about it I think it would be cool if I could go into the technological sciences and mathematical engineering. Can you see it? haha. Being a mad science.. I guess not, Mad, maybe. haha But I just thought that was cool, I had never had anyone say anything like that really referring to me in a school circumstance.

Oh, update, for those of you how don't know. On Tuesday and Thursady mornings somewhere around 8:50 and 9:25 I'll be driving on the roads... so watch out! Lol. The first time I drove I ramed into the berm... but that will be a onetime event

I almost died and then a Hippo saved me.

Today I was really tired. I mean, reeeaalllly tired. Seriously, I almost fell asleep in like half of my classes. I'm not sure why I was so tired though.... Anyway, when I got to siwm practice, warm up was really rouch and I was so tired I was just thinking "I can't do this..." and then Scott (the coach) put me in the same lane as Simon and these other really fast people! So there I was in this super fast lane for no reason doing a SPRINT set which practicaly killed me. After swimming, which I didn't exactly survive, I was walking back to my dad's classroom and I found this hippo in the snow. It's like 1in high and 3in long...he's pretty awesome. His mouth is stretched really wide like he's screaming or singing or something. So that made my day a lot better.

Percy Jackson and my Shoes

So MASK went to see the Percy Jackson and the Olympians premier last night at midnigt. It was SO much fun! The movie was...well, it was awful. The effects were alright, not as good as Lord of the Rings or anything but they were alright. The actors were pretty good (except Annabeth) but the whole plot was all twisted and they messed up the characters and just totaly ruined the story in my opinion.
But going to the premier was awesome! I had that light at the top of the stairs on and then I turned it off when I saw A's car so I put my shoes on in the dark. And then we got there like an hour early and got out seats (right smack in the middle :D ) and then went to the bathroom and then watched the previews and the movie and then FINALLY, after all of that, I went to the bathroom and looked down...and I was wearing two different shoes. How weird is that? Weird things have been happening to me latley. Anyway... I think we've having a sleepover tonight so I'll be sure to update you later!

Youth Retreatness

So basically, I could call this weekend horrible and amazing at the same time. Horrible because no one would shut up when Josh or Joel were saying things that I really wanted to hear or discuss, because the cabin was like Donte's Inferno, and because people were disrespectful to others during devotions. Amazing because of the weather, activities, and people there. It was a special time. :) I love it up there. The lake and mountains and sunsets/rises. UH! Sooo gorgeous! Beauty is definitely in more than just the eye of the beholder. Broomball bruises are the BOMB! Go Sarah! AhOw! That was so much fun! Snow was falling, brooms were flying, knees and elbows, sometimes heads being bruised. I even got a few tackles on Sarah... Muahahah! Overall it was a great weekend. God was everywhere. I love it! :D

CLICK

Yeah, I totally agree! It was soooo much fun. I took like billions of pictures which was super awesome as well. Death sledding, broom ball cheer leading, bonfire photographizing! YAY!! A and me (k) didn't play broom ball but I am pretty much convinced that we had equally as much fun. Am I right A? I made up names for the teams. The team S was on was Team Win and M's team was Team Don't Forget Your Child. Fun stuff.
The cabin was really warm, which I enjoyed, but everyone else...not so much. The food was good too. A brought gummy bears! :D Well I can't think of much more to say except "we found them!" which I am not even going to try to explain.
Wooodent it be nice if we could go do it again?

Waagagahh

Hey all! We're baaAAckk!! Ok, I had LOADS of fun at the retreat, and I can tell everyone else did too. Although, not a big fan of watching movies and discussing deep stuff at 11 'o clock at night when you're dead tired. Ugh. :) Anyway, it was still fun! Sledding in powdery snow, a failed bonfire attempt, then success! Discussions, fun, food, friends, new friends, games, more games, sleep (yes!), ugh, and a hot, stuffy cabin. All in all: Pretty awesome, coolio trip. And this is just MY side of it! MASK, or rather: MSK, type away!! Let's hear your take! I had fun. :D

hmm.... One highlight moment....
Ok, there are too many to think of!! :D

"WOODent it be nice..." Explanation: Singing while on a pile of wood. Get it? haha!!
Anyway..... ;D

A pretty good sized group, kinda loud though, oh well. 28 people? Yeah. Ok, gotta go.

Weeeeeekend

Well...I know I've been posting a lot latley but oh well.
On Saturday I went sledding with A :) It was super duper fun!!! It made me really sore though, I could barely get up the next morning. On Saturday night I went to a play with S, "The White Rose". It was so amazing, those actors are soooo talented, very moving story...
So on Sunday....Me and A went to S's house and helped with her school project: Making a video of Edgar Allen Poe's "A Tell Tale Heart". It was pretty fun, verrrry interesting story :P If you've read it then you know what I mean. I was the murderer...I murdered S. Good stuff. Haha.
So that was my weekend...you guys are welcome to add some details to that.
