Well it's really cold today. And it's just suposed to get colder. I made homemade peppermint/vanilla ice cream last night and it was so boring I put a bunch of blue food coloring in it :) It was delicious! Then I watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets by myself. I love that movie.
Tonight will be the first band concert of the year, Wednesday I start my mentorship and Thursday is the siwm banquet.
I have two tests tomorrow but I am not studying. I am writing this blog. Clearly.
Apparently I am very much not cut out for getting back masages. Good discovery.

I'm a big girl now!
Heeyy! So, as K so thoughtfully pointed out - I'm 17 now! Wooo! I had an awesome day! Here is what transpired:
I woke up (thankfully, hehe) and ate breakfast (rice krispies). Then, my sister and I shoveled our grandparent's driveway. As we were doing that, our grandparents NEIGHBOR stopped by in her truck and asked us to do HER driveway. Man, we've got some awesome shoveling skillage.
So we said yes. Two driveways, and a porch almost as big as a driveway, took us 2 1/2 hours. Sheesh. Well, at least we got some muscles out of it. :)
After trudging home I took a shower and baked MY cake (since, apparently, no one else had time). I turned off the TV since my bro had been lodged on the couch since 9 in the morning. (It was then about 4'o'clock) He's trying to convince us all that he's still sick. Psh. Yeah right.
So I baked my cake and cleaned up a bit.
THEN I went with my mom to pick up my FOOD!! Yay!
So, for my birthday dinner, I chose NINO'S (an italian-ish... food place [I sat here for 10 minutes, trying to spell "restraunt" <-- and it's STILL wrong!]) - one of the BEST food-places ever!
And I chose it, 'cause I love it, even though it's loaded with garlic. Oh well. It's my birthday. :} teehee
So we ate and ate and I'm pretty sure my stomach has expanded. Ick.
Then - Presents!! Dude. I got WICKEDLY awesome Batman PJ pants!!! 8D Gah! I love them! Hahahaa! I giggled like a little girl.
Oh, I also wore a stupid (but awesome) pink party hat that says "party princess". It's got ribbons hanging down. :P
Anyways...I got Ugly Dolls from the "little bro-ster" (it's kind of his tradition[haha, I know have 12!]) and pretty much a lot of stuff I asked for. hehe. I can show you guys whenever you come over!!
Some folders, sketchpads, and Ipod holder thingy, Batman Begins, two books, uhhh..yeah. That's all I can remember. My brain's pretty fried.
We watched Galaxy Quest and Madagascar 2 while eating pudding-cake and ice cream. YUMM!
Whoo this is long. So I'll cut it short. Which it good, since I'm pretty much done. :P
*sigh* Today was a good day. :) I will never take off my batman pants. Ever. Ever. I refuse.
I took some good/funny pictures as well. :) I'll have to put some on sometime. :D

Apples...oh, Apples...
Well, well, well! We meet again!! Ha!
Anyways...whew, I haven't posted for a while! Lots of things to catch up on!
Well, for one: I found out I'm allergic to Garlic, Treenuts, and Apples. 8\
Oh, Apples! Why?! This is what I reason: Since apples were my main food intake (second only to cereal) they started a revolt and plotted against me so that I'd become allergic to them. "Stop the slaughter!" I can picture the little, tiny picket signs. "She needs to be stopped!" Yeah...well...I like to imagine it. This is what I do for most of my time. ;)
Alssooo....erm...let's see...Well, since I can't think of anything else -
Today I went to the Soup Kitchen with the youth group (only three of us showed), and for the first time EVER (at least, that I know of) someone tried to match me with a...*cough* potential... mate? I guess? Well, who knows.
And I'll give you three guesses who did it.
Vanya.
He decided to help in the Kitchen with Ryan, winking at me and jerking his head to another kid that showed up with his mom: Rian. He looked me over and did his little thing...
"Oh yeah! You. And Rian. Together. Perfect! Huh?" he winked some more. haha. I have to admit, I was SO amused! It nearly made me laugh. "You guys. In the back room...alone."
I shook my head, giving him my best "You've got to be joking" look. He smiled.
"Whaaat? Come on..You're saying there's no...romance?"
"None whatsoever!" I told him strongly. I was actually pretty proud of myself. :) teehe.
"Ooh. Your heart beats!" he looked pointedly at Rian again. (by the way, Rian didn't hear a word of this, thank goodness!)
I shook my head. "Barely."
"Ooohh...That's cold."
haha. So yeah. It was very...interesting. The rest of the time was spent, not nearly as interesting. Rian's friend came and we were all so busy doing stuff that it never came up again (goody!). So yeah. That was...again, interesting. haha.
Well...I can't think of anything else...erg. I feel like I'm missing something important...oh well.

Hearts Safe
I can't remember if I ever told you guys about my trip to Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It was practically an age ago. But that's not why I'm writing. I was in Washington and we were staying at my grandpa's farm. My brother (2nd oldest) drove up with his girlfriend and her daughter from Oregon for the day. That was when I found out in the most awkward way possible that my brother was not a christian. It's heart breaking, knowing that, as of right now, I won't be with my brother for eternity. So I got home and I bought Tenth Avenue North's new album, the Light Meets the Dark. And now, every time I think about my brother I listen to the song Hearts Safe. It's my prayer for him. That some day he'll notice that there is something different about us, that he's missing something crucial. It makes me sad. To think that maybe I won't be enough to let him know. And then I listen to Strong Enough to Save. :) And it makes me realize that I am one small person who believes in one big God who's strong enough to save my brother.

Why? I'm asking you why? If the sheep know his voice then tell me what is the choice/For the ones who haven't heard and have no need to rejoice/Father, help me understand/'Cause I am just like him and Lord he's just like me/We came from the same town and the same families/But now he, he just won't understand/Please Lord open up his eyes/Can You open up these eyes?/And why? Pachabell
My mom started piano lessons this week & right now somebody is playing Pachabell's Cannon. That bring me waaayyy back! I adore that song, it is so beautiful.
Well today was See you @ the Pole and I thought it went really well, I think we had about 35 people. Good turn out.
All the leaves are turning yello and I'm sad about that :( I wish it was Summer again. Still more than two months until Christmas Break. Hmm.
I'm very tired and bored of my classes, I fell like I've been in them for a long time and I'm ready to be done and move on to new, better classes. Buuuutt- I have a long time left. I miss Mr. Reese :P
Well...that's really all I have to say sooo...........................yeah.

Long time no post
Wow! It's been a while. Well, some things I've not had time to post about are the following:
My trip to Colorado, Washington, and Idaho. It was amazing. I had so much fun! I went shooting and saw a Rockies game. Not to mention seeing family. Oh! and I LOVE GIRAFFES!
Retreat and the beginning of school. The speakers at Retreat were REALLY good. They did a really nice job of explaining things and challenging us to "Answer the Call to Holiness, Call to Love" (that's this year's theme)
I'm taking extreeeeeeeeemely stressful classes. Boo hiss.
MASK went camping last weekend. We went to Hidden Lake and had a blast, like always. Although, this time, this time we did something we've never really attempted before. Teaser: I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE! We also climbed Bear Mountain which was reeeeeally steep and reeeeeeeeally fun to run down. There also was this thing with a camera crew, but I'll let someone else tell about that.
So yeah, tomorrow I leave for a three day camping trip to Red Shirt Lake with my family... should be interesting. My job is to make sure my dad doesn't kill himself by towing a canoe and that Rebekkah and Megan don't cry their heads off in the canoe... again, should be interesting.
